Week 9 but whose counting

Well my email that I was just writing just got deleted for some reason so this might be short cause I'm running out of time. Not a lot has happened in the last week except that we did have a seventy come and sit in during our classes. It was way cool and scary at the same time. His name is Aoyagi Choro (Elder). He is a convert from Japan and shared his story with us. It was really cool and inspiring. He gave us some great advise.

How are Burns and Trent doing? I got an email from Trent that was funny, but I can't email him back, so when I get to Japan I will send him a bunch of stuff. I don't think he's gotten any of my letters. Haven't heard from Burns for a while, hope I do before I leave. If you get a chance tell Drew hi, and good luck, I'm happy that he finally gets to come to the MTC.

I saw Brother Smith (the artist) at the doctor's office that my companion had to go to. It was neat seeing him. He's a great guy. Did you get that video? I think I said Hi how are you and I'm excited to go to Kobe, probably some other funny stuff. That was fun.

Tell Whitney that God does know her. That He hasn't forgotten her. She has a lot of people praying for her in here. She will be okay, but it might be a hard time.

Thanks for the package last week. The cookies were great and so was the box cover. The only other thing I need are the pictures and I think I am set. Thanks for all of the packages you have sent while I've been here. Oh could I get some foot powder, my shoes already smell and I'm not even walking a ton or riding a bike.

Well not much else to tell you. We are all excited and pumped to go to Japan. My time here has kind of turned into a big blur. Even though I'm tired of seeing the same walls, my desire to be here and keep learning is through the roof. I love it.

Thanks for everything you do, I couldn't have done this without you guys.

Love you tons,
Cam

Sorry this is a quick one, but I don't have much time.

Man the story about Boyer's mission call made me really laugh. He really surprises people like that because it seems so out of character for him. Gotta love Boyer. He's a good guy, I'm sure he will do well in Germany.

All of the mission calls are pretty cool. I'm sure Cook will like Washington and do great. Graves is going to Columbia? That does sound scary. Let me know when Joe gets his call. I can't wait to hear from him. I actually got a letter from Bear this week and it sounds like he is excited to go, it will be great to hear from him.

Gotta love that summer yard work. I think that Dad has always hated the wee wacker, I know I hated it too, it never seemed to work, but I haven't seen one that does. Can't say that I miss that too much.

I hope everything goes ok for Whitney. That story about her appendix and surgery is crazy. Man, thats crazy how all this weird stuff is happening to her. I'm glad you went to the emergency room. Sounds like Ralph and Brother Rose helped her out a lot. I'm glad we have such great neighbors that can do things like that for us. I will definately keep her in my prayers.

The doctor went well. He will be okay but we get to go out again because he needs more tests done. Its weird being off campus and kind of fun at the same time.

I'm glad you got the e-mail of the pictures. The guys that are in our room are actually in a seperate class than we are. This has actually been a hard week. One of the Elder's had to go home this week. He said that he had some health problems. He left yesterday. He is just a great guy and it was rough on everyone, including me. I hope that he will be okay.

The MTC is starting to get old. Lots of class everyday and everyone is kind of getting burned out. We did get to have an apostle last week again that was way cool. That makes three apostles while I've been here.

Thanks for all the ties you sent. There were a ton of good ones in there that I plan on keeping. Some of dads made me laugh. Where did he get some of those?

Thank you for all the updates and stuff, it is good hearing about home. I love you tons and thanks for all of your support.

Love you,
Cam

Week 7 at the MTC

Hey this is going to be a short email, sorry, but I'm out of time. I will send a letter as well tomorrow. Thanks for your letters they were great.

This week was the same not much different going on. Lots of new missionaries which is cool it's really fun being sempi and helping them along. Ours weren't so nice to us so we are trying our best to be nice to them and help them along. One of my new roommates played soccer with Easton Folster and Cameron Brink, weird huh. Japanese is a lot of fun, I am loving it. I'm trying to work hard so I can communicate better with people.

We had an apostle come talk to us, Elder Ballard. His talk was pretty amazing, the spirit was so strong, at least for me it was. It's cool to get to hear the leaders of the church speak in person.

This Friday I get to go off base!! Elder Buerger has had some health problems and is going to get them taken care of at the health center. When he exercises he has problems. We will see what they find out, it will just be weird to be outside of the MTC even if it's not that far. I'll let you know how it goes.

Derrick sent me a picture of the dogs, man that puppy is pretty cut. Some of the sisters saw me looking at it and well you know how girls like puppies...it made me laugh. Sounds like everyone is having a good time back at home. That's cool about Bear, let me know when he gets his call. Sounds like Grandma & Grandpa are working hard. I got a letter from them and it was alot of fun to read.

Thank you for the package. I'm not sure how it all worked out but I got the breadsticks, but not the sandwich. There was an orange letter from the MTC, so they must have opened it. It was great to get some real food. I do really miss your cooking.

Ok, just a few things I'd like to get if you have time. I would like a skinny tie just pure black if you can find one. If you can't don't worry about it. My other black skinny one is apparently too small so I can't wear it, so make sure it isn't too skinny. Do you remember the red one? That one is perfect. Also any ties in my closet that I didn't bring just send so I can trade them. Tie trades are the best every Sunday night.

As for the pictures, just send me ones of our family, house, dogs, or whatever you think would work. One last thing, in the letter I'm sending you I will write down what kind of memory card my camera takes and would like another one so I can send you the one I have and you can get my pictures and videos I have now. I will send it to you before I leave for Japan.

I want you to know that I am doing the best I can. I know that we have to work hard, but if we do with the help of the Lord, we can accomplish great things.

Thanks for everything

Love you tons

Hey, how's it going back in Springville? I didn't get an email from you or dad this week. Dad told me in his last one that your e-mail was messed up when he upgraded something, so I hope you get this and got my last one. I still get your dear elder ones so that works.

We taught our first lesson in Japanese this week. It was pretty intense, but we did a good job. It was alot of fun, they were real Japanese people too. They could understand alot of what we were saying so that we pretty cool. We are given scenarios we have to talk about also, and this week it was food. My companion said he liked to eat poisonous food. It was so funny the look they gave us was priceless. We can practice teaching the teachers before we teach the actual volunteers and I said I was Christ's savior, that was embarrassing, so we are both making mistakes, but learning and hanging in there.

Tomorrow we get new missionaries and we'll be sempi. It's weird thinking I have been here for over half my time and am on the home stretch of finishing the MTC. I am really ready to get out of here and excited to get on with it in Japan.

Well not alot has changed here, just trying to learn as much Japanese as I can. It sounds like they speak a different kind than what we are learning in here, in the area I'm going to be serving in, so it will take some time to adjust to when I get there.

Thanks for the cookies they were great. I love those they are one of my favorites.

I remember you saying something about my UCCU card would work in Japan. I think I will keep both just to make sure I have one that works, and if it does work I will just use it all the time instead of the W.F. one.

How is everyone back home? Anything new going on. We keep hearing about some swine flu scare. They won't let us shake hands anymore so that's a little weird. It sounds like they are making a bigger deal out of it than it actually is.

How are the other guys doing that are out on their missions, do you hear from their parents? Any news on Joe's call? I got a letter from Burn's which was way awesome I can't wait to get another one from him.

Thanks for all that you do.
