Hey

So it was an alright week nothing super special. We actually didn't find anyone out on the streets which was a bit of a disappointment. We did have a lot of lessons though which was pretty cool. We had a good time with those and was able to have one investigator become a progressing investigator which is something that we have been struggling with lately.

His name is warren and is from California. He has been in Japan for 16 years and is still here because he wants to stay close to his family. He had a really nasty divorce with his wife and doesn't get to see them much but he tries. We will have a big problem with the Word of Wisdom with him so hopefully we can change that around. Other than that he is great guy and hopefully something comes of it.

We had a sports night on Saturday and it was our best one yet. We had a lot of fun and got quite a few people there. All the missionaries played like we use to before the mission only to find out that we are super out of shape and could barely move the next day but everyone had a good time and it was good for our investigators too.
We didn't get any investigators to church but we did get a LA to come back which was pretty cool. We are hoping that we can keep him to stay active from here on out. We will see what happens with him I guess.

We visited a lot of members and gave them banana bread and told them thanks for helping us all last transfer. Hopefully it helps us get a little more involved with working with them this next coming transfer we are going to need the help.

So I guess the rainy season has started out here. It has rained the last 2 days straight without letting up and looks like it will keep going on through tomorrow too. Its starting to get pretty hot and humid too.

Anyways thats about our week, not a ton really happened. This next week we are pretty busy, we have an exchange with the Zone Leaders and one of the traveling APs and Zone conference so its going to be a bit crazy. Maybe we will find someone that we can baptize this next week.

Love you, thanks for sending the package cant wait,
Cam

Hey how is everyone?

Sounds like the trip was fun, and a little interesting also. Brad and Jesse were dressed up as cowboys? Man thats even better. Sounds like the yard was pretty amazing. If you have any pictures you should send me some. I hope that shellie is happy and all that.

Sorry, I didn't email you last week. We went to the hospital right after we got done eating but they had already closed the skin part of the hospital so we had to go the next day. We went and they just gave me cream and stuff and its already clearing up and feels way better so yeah no worries. I think it was either a summer rash thing or exzema but either way its pretty much already cleared up on my knees and arms so I am not too worried about it. I should be fine.

Well this week was transfer week even though it didn't really feel like it. Nothing changed in the apt. We all ended up staying which was pretty surprising. Neither area is really doing that great but we will keep trying. I am happy to stay with Akina but the other companionship wanted a change I think. The Japanese elder in there is really hard to get along with and I think his comp wanted a change but he is a good elder and will learn how to work with him.

This week was kind of slow. We didn't have a lot of anything happen. We worked hard to find someone but it was pretty tough to even get people to talk to us. On Sunday night we were able to get one investigator. He is a Christan and he works at a surf shop. Akina was a surfer back home so they got along real well and we were able to make a return appointment. Other than that nothing really happened this week at all. I wish I had more to tell you but we just did a lot of streeting, some housing, visited some LA's and that was about it. Uno our investigator that can't be baptized because of his father came to church which was pretty cool. It got some members excited I guess. We just don't have anyone to fellowship him which makes it a lot tougher. Most of the people in the ward here are 35 or older. There is one Active YM that is 12 years old and the rest are pretty old and on so its frustrating that we don't have any friends for him. Hopefully we can help him. He will be baptized after he turns 18 but until then it looks pretty tough.

Anyways I am trying to think of a cool story since Derrick and Whit keep asking and this is one I remembered. It was about 2 weeks ago and I was on a split with the Elder from New Zealand his name is Elder Murphy way cool guy love him to death. So we saw these 2 guys one on a bike and the other off it yelling at each other at the top of their lungs just screaming some stuff in Japanese. They start to walk away and we see one group of kids that looked around 16, 17 years old run after one guy. After around 15 seconds we see them come back laughing and running away and the old dude chasing after them and then the old guy stopped and yelled some stuff and walked off. We thought it was cool whatever and started walking away then all of a sudden the old dude passes us BOOKING it on a mamachari (a certain kind of bike you see in old movies, its the main kind of bike they use here in japan) after those kids. Elder Murphy and I stopped, looked at each other and Elder Murphy said `we never get exciment like this we gotta follow them`. So we did and eventually we caught up and saw the guy chasing one 17 year old kid on his bike yelling Kuroso (I am going to kill you) and the kid turned around to face him down. The old dude jumps off his bike and starts trying to open his backpack but the kid grabs the bag and fights him for it and decides to give up on getting the backpack from him and just punches him square in the face knocking him on his butt. The kid ran off and while the guy was getting back up he opened his backpack and pulled out some monster hedge clippers and started walking after the kid yelling his was going to kill him but the kid got away. The old guy looked way mad then just got on his bike and rode away with the clippers. We were pretty much right in the middle of it all. Crazy stuff but exciting.

Other than that it was kind of a slow week this time. I don't know how we are going to be able to see a baptism this transfer but hopefully something will come up and we can have a miracle or something.

So isn't school going to be out pretty soon? Any big plans for summer? Its weird to think in what 3 weeks I will have been in Japan for 1 year. Man, its gone by pretty fast.

Let me know how everyone is doing. Love you
